What is a sack truck

A sack truck, also known as a hand truck, is a type of equipment used for transporting heavy loads. It consists of a metal frame with two wheels at the bottom and two support arms that form a platform on the top. The load is placed on the platform and the person using the truck tilts it back onto its wheels and uses the handle to steer and push the load.

How to use a sack truck

Operating a sack truck is a straightforward process. First, place your items on the toe plate, making sure that you do not exceed the truck's weight capacity. Once loaded, tilt the truck backwards and then push or pull it in the desired direction. Some sack trucks have a foldable toe plate that must be lowered before items can be stacked on it. To ensure stability, it is recommended to place heavier and bulkier items at the bottom of the stack to prevent any damage from falling items. Learn more in our article How to use a sack truck.
