The countersunk head makes its way through the wood with its polygonal lower part and can therefore be driven in without pre-drilling the hole. The square shape of the tip pushes back the wood fibers when screwing and creates a gap for the diameter of the screw body. The total thread runs the entire length of the screw. Allows for fast and much more efficient work. Corrosion protection.
