If you need cycle racks for areas with high traffic, cycle stands with multiple spaces and levels are the ideal space and cost-effective option.
- Who is the cycle stand for?
If you need school bike racks, you’ll want to ensure that your bike storage is easy to use and an appropriate height for students to use safely.
- What is your budget?
We have cycle stands that will suit all budgets, including cycle racks starting from under £30!
- How much available space do you have?
If you are short on space, wall fixed cycle stands or cycle racks with multiple levels could be the best option.
What are the benefits of cycle racks?
Cycle racks have lots of benefits, including:
- They encourage more staff and students to be more active and travel to work or school via an eco-friendly means of transport.
- They are robust and durable which provides extra security and stands the test of time.
- Cycle stands offer protection for cyclists as they decrease the risk of theft.
- They keep bikes out of the way of paths and doorways so they don’t cause an obstruction for pedestrians.
- They increase accessibility - having cycle racks can make a business more accessible for potential customers passing by and school bike racks make it easy for students to travel to school themselves.
How to install a bike rack in concrete
Cycle stands and school bike racks are usually installed in the ground via the following method:
- A hole is made in the ground for each leg of the cycle rack (typically, these will have a minimum diameter of six inches but the instructions of the manufacturer should be followed).
- Anchor rods are inserted into the bottom of the cycle stand’s legs.
- The cycle stand’s legs are inserted into the holes.
- Concrete is poured into the holes and left to set - this will secure the cycle rack in place.
It is advised that you hire a professional to install bike racks into concrete to ensure they are secure and safe to use.
