Shelving / Racking Projects

If you’ve got a storage project our team of experts are on hand to help, from concept and design to installation

There are three main questions to ask yourself when you buy shelving or racking...

  • What do you want to store? Explore >>

If you’re storing items that are awkward such as sheet materials, or long parts, there are many solutions available.
    Long parts
Cantilever racking is suited to most light to medium duty long part storage and will securely hold loads to stop them falling. View products >
Space needed - Vertical sheet racking – manufactured using strong fully welded steel and designed to safely accommodate sheet materials and pipes. View products >
    Heavy Goods
Our heavy duty storage can take up to 640kg UDL* and is often used in combination with lifting and stacking equipment as the items stored are too heavy for a person to lift without help. View products >
    Palletised Goods
If you’re storing items by the pallet then you’ll need a solution with direct access that you can load using machinery. View products >
“UDL” stands for Uniform Distributed Weight – this is the weight the shelf is designed to take if the weight is evenly spread across the whole shelf.

If you’re loading manually you’ll need a shelving solution, if you’re using machinery you’ll need a racking solution.

Type of machinery In order to find the most efficient solution you’ll need to know what type machinery you’ll be using so we make sure you’ve got space available to manoeuvre.

Type of pallet Pallet sizes vary so its important for us to understand what you requirements are in order to help optimise your space.

“We have almost completed a major multi-warehouse re-fit and I have to say it would not have been possible without The products and services of Key. Everything arrived on time and without damage. We had looked at other suppliers of racking but have found your “Rapid” range to be far and away the most economical and the build quality is second to none. The help we have received from various members of staff has been invaluable, they have gone above and beyond in helping us achieve our goals.
