Smile for the camera!

This year Mark Thompson has been leading our photography project at Key, with the intention of taking some fun shots of staff to see what would come of it. The result has been much more than anyone expected and it has had a hugely positive effect, and truly captured the spirit of the company.

Marks creativity and enthusiasm has lead to the development of some very original concepts. These in turn lead to test shots being taken with staff to see if an idea works, if it does the photo shoot goes ahead and staff go up to studio to be photographed. These images are then used online/in the catalogue, for email campaigns enabling personalisation of media that reaches customers. Some of these images were so fantastic that they have now been put on canvases and adorn the company walls.

Before the commencement of this project, most staff were reluctant to have their photograph taken. Thanks to Marks ability to encourage people and make them feel comfortable he has transformed people’s perceptions and enabled them to see themselves in a different light. Now, once shy members of staff are coming to him with ideas, wanting to be part of the next photo shoot! This project has been a fantastically fun path staff have taken and has helped them grow and reveal their full potential.

Mark has also photographed the Nature Project in action, the refurbishment of the kitchen and the ‘Norway’ and ‘Czech’ days and as a result enabled us to keep some fantastic memories.

Without everybody that has been involved, this project would not have been possible. Staff from different departments have been brought together, built individuals confidence and undoubtedly enabled us to laugh at ourselves. A big thank you to everyone that has been part of this!
