These materials can range from solvents and paints to gases and other combustible materials. A common question is, can you put other types of storage container, for example, cardboard boxes, into a flammable container or does this compromise the safety of the cabinet?<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Can Cardboard Boxes be stored in Flammable Cabinets?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The short answer is no. Under no circumstances should you store flammable materials such as paper or cardboard alongside flammable and hazardous materials. The entire purpose of a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.manutan.co.uk\/en\/key\/flammable-material-storage-cabinet-coshh-1815x915mm\">flammable storage cabinet<\/a> is to safely store combustible materials away from any other materials that increase the risk of them catching fire, therefore by placing a cardboard box or a similar material into a flammable cabinet you are putting the materials inside at risk of combusting.<\/p>\n<h2>Other flammable cabinet storage practices to be aware of:<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Purchase and store the smallest quantity of flammable liquids necessary for storage in flammable cabinets.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that any containers stored in the cabinet are closed and well-sealed.<\/li>\n<li>Always try to place<a href=\"https:\/\/www.manutan.co.uk\/en\/key\/flammable-material-storage-cabinet-coshh-1815x915mm\"> flammable liquid storage cabinets and cupboards<\/a> in rooms with multiple exits.<\/li>\n<li>Do not place flammable storage cabinets near exit paths or doors as this could create an escape hazard in the event of an emergency.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>This was only a brief explanation regarding whether or not you can store cardboard boxes in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.manutan.co.uk\/en\/key\/flammable-storage-cabinet-coshh-700x915mm-a350442\">COSHH cabinets<\/a>.
