There are a number of ways to ensure lockers<\/a> are kept as fresh as possible. Though it might seem simple to make sure lockers are kept clean, it does take time and effort to make sure no unwanted odours begin to take over your locker room. CLEAN THE LOCKER DAILY<\/strong><\/p>\n

First and foremost ensuring lockers are cleaned every day is the best way to stop lockers from smelling. Odours develop from items such as sweaty gym clothing or a damp towel, so make sure everything is removed from the locker at the end of each day, then the locker can be cleaned.<\/p>\n

Using an antibacterial wipe clean the insides & the door including the front. Once done leave the locker door open and allow it to dry.<\/p>\n

When cleaning lockers make sure you check the cleaning products you are using do not damage the locker itself. There are a number of different lockers that can also help with preventing bacteria within lockers such as anti-bacterial lockers<\/a> or stainless steel lockers<\/a>.<\/p>\n

A THROGHOUGH WEEKLY CLEAN<\/strong><\/p>\n

If a daily clean is not possible, then a thorough clean of the locker once a week should remove any lingering odours. Repeat the process of your daily clean, then follow that up by using a stronger cleaner such as a foam cleaner<\/a>, leave that to work as per the instructions prior to wiping away any remaining foam.<\/p>\n

MAKE SURE THE ROOM IS WELL VENTILATED <\/strong><\/p>\n

Even after lockers have been cleaned, there may still be odours lingering around the locker room, this could be because the room itself is not well ventilated. When there is moisture in the air which is not circulated out of the room this causes odours to linger.<\/p>\n

Locker rooms can become very humid due to multiple people using them at any one time. Another thing to make sure of is to remove carpeting from locker rooms as odours can become trapped in carpets.<\/p>\n

Odour neutralisers come in many shapes and forms from gel packets and sprays to absorbing packs and hanging air fresheners.
